W. Chris Peden, CPA began his career in the tax and accounting field in 1988 and since then has provided a variety of services to a very diverse group of companies and economic sectors. Currently, Chris serves on the Board of Director of the Gulf Coast Waste Disposal Authority and also the President of the Gulf Coast Industry Development Authority. In 1996, Chris started Peden & Associates, a consulting firm in Friendswood, Texas. As the managing partner for Peden & Associates he had oversight responsibilities for a diverse firm that included traditional CPA services as well as start-up and turn around consulting services. He was elected to a three-year term as council member of Friendswood, Texas in May 2005 and as Mayor Pro-Tem of Friendswood, Texas in June 2006. In 2000 he was elected President of the Board of Directors of Hope Foundation, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the mission of Hope Village and he served on the board until 2011. Chris is a Certified Public Accountant and a Member of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accounts. He has a B.B.A. degree in Accounting from Stephen F. Austin State University.
